Twenty televisions in an open circle display a progressively more delayed broadcast of a live CNN feed. Through manipulation of the delay, the news crawl appears to leave each screen and continue on to the next one. Audio adds up to a repetitive babble, video to an emphasis of the already repetitive nature of the programming.
Saddam Hussein crawls out of the spider hole over and over again around the room, events both significant and banal occur in a blurred present. The televisions go slowly dark and silent for commercials, only to start again after the break.
Eddy was part of an exhibition of work in digital forms by Illinois artists, guest curated by Barry Blinderman for the Krannert Museum of Ar. The show included Siebren Versteeg, Scott Roberts and Sabrina Raaf.
